Saghmosavank and Hovhannavank Monasteries of the 13th century, situated above the Kasakh river gorge

St.Gevorg church of the 14 century in Mughni village

On Aragats slopes you can meet nomad stations of Kurds-Ezids, the ethnic minority of Armenia, and get acquainted with their life. If you take a bus, you can also visit Etchmiadzin, the Central Cathedral of Armenia, rouins of Zvartnots, the ancient castle, Garni, the ancient temple of Sun, Geghard temple, Spitak, Sanayin, Akhpat, Odzun, Noravank and many other places. Near Tegher, in Byurakan village, there is an observatory, where the world known astrophysicist Viktor Ambartsumyan worked.
